What's new in the current cc-class classroom software release: screen broadcast, group control of endpoints, interactive teaching and exams, covering both teacher and student apps, for Windows and Linux endpoints alike.
Highlights
6.0.28 is the current stable release of cc-class classroom software. It adds voice homework and voice interaction in screen broadcast, adds one-click blocking of this lesson's unapproved apps and teaching without an account, brings live classroom captions to the Linux teacher app, and provides a Windows 7 student installer. Screen broadcast is more stable and recovers on its own when the teacher PC's network changes. Applies to Windows and Linux endpoints alike.
The teacher sets a question, students record their answers and submit them, speech is turned into text automatically, and answers can be re-recorded and exported.
During screen broadcast, students can request the mic; whoever the teacher picks answers, and everyone hears it.

The Linux teacher app also supports live classroom captions and speech-to-text; download or import the recognition component in System Settings.
A dedicated Windows 7 student installer, and the student update package covers Windows 7 too.
Broadcast recovers on its own when the teacher PC's network changes, the teacher app never shows up when a broadcast starts, and the broadcast toolbar stays visible during full-screen playback.
