vDisk SaaS Cloud Desktop Release Notes
What's new in the current version of vDisk SaaS Cloud Desktop: the cloud platform, the proxy service on the teacher PC, images and desktop pools, and remote PC management are all covered, for Windows and Linux computers alike.
Highlights
6.1.13 is the current version of vDisk SaaS Cloud Desktop. The management platform runs in the cloud and the teacher PC acts as the proxy, so no server is needed. This version adds a Linux proxy service that installs on x86, ARM and LoongArch PCs, with a .deb package, the same setup wizard as Windows, and client system creation. The proxy service is installed with a cloud platform account, and a failed teacher PC can be restored at any time. Remote viewing now connects straight from the browser, and resellers can use their own domain, name and logo.
No server needed: the proxy service installs on the teacher PC and signs in with a cloud platform account.
x86, ARM and LoongArch PCs can all run the proxy service. It comes as a .deb package, works with Secure Boot on, and can create the client system.
If the teacher PC fails or is reinstalled, the proxy service can be restored at any time.
"Remote / View" for a computer opens right in the browser, and remote access works even when the proxy service is off.
Channel partners can use their own domain, software name, and logo, with certificates requested automatically and read-only access to the computers of their schools.
