vDisk6 Cloud Desktop Release Notes
What's new in the current version of vDisk6: physical desktops, virtual desktops, the boot menu, the console, and the server are all covered, for Windows and Linux terminals alike.
Highlights
6.1.61 is the current stable version of vDisk6. This version puts physical and virtual desktops under one management: shared desktop templates, shared desktop pools, and the same vDX client for remote connection. It adds terminal controls, direct image transfer between terminals, and a set of bulk terminal configuration tools; it also improves terminal disk performance and image delivery efficiency, and supports pure network boot, sign-in management, SM-standard encrypted transfer, and vGPU graphics.
Desktop templates are shared, so one desktop pool can hold physical terminals and virtual desktops together.
Both physical and virtual desktops can be reached remotely with the vDX client, with SM-standard encryption, sound, clipboard, files, and USB devices.
Students sign in on a terminal, sign in by scanning a code in the mobile app, and have sign-in records counted and exported; labs can be limited by timetable, and sessions end automatically after class.
Data pass-through folders, external traffic limits, remote lock, browsing records, a USB storage allowlist, and anti-theft lock, applied to all terminals, a group, or a single machine.
Terminals can transfer images directly to each other without going through the server, sending the whole disk or only the updated part.
Terminals can boot into a desktop from the network without a local hard disk, and swapping a network card needs no reinstall.
